Customer Quilting on Red/White/Blue Quilt Finished

I get to cross another WIP off my list.  I finished longarm quilting this red/white/blue quilt for a customer.  It was a big one.  It measures 98" x 119".  I'm glad I got a picture of it before all the raindrops fell.  I quilted it with a template board called Milkyway from Circle Lord.

The stars and swirls really go with the theme on this quilt.

The back was one piece.  The Milkyway pattern shows up great on the back.

A template board has grooves in it that I tape to the table on the longarm where others often tape a pantograph. You follow the groves with a stylist that rides in the groves. It's like a pantograph, but made of sturdy plastic or pvc. It is more accurate for me than a pantograph.

They are pricy, but I usually get enough customers that some boards pay for themselves. I like the quality of Circle Lord boards (they are sturdy and large). I also use R&S Boards (they have a lot of variety.)

Here are links to their websites. There are a few videos on the Circle Lord site that you can see them being used.

The stars and swirls look perfect with the design. The quilt almost looks like it's plaid.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. For some reason I cannot post a reply to you, but I do appreciate the visit.
